Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better

What do you do when your big brother has a Green Jacket? In the Mickelson family, you go out and try to get your own.
Tim Mickelson, Phil's younger brother, aspired to follow in his brother's footsteps and make it out on the PGA tour. In 2001, he stopped pursuing that dream to start another dream. He has regained his amateur status with the hopes of making it to Augusta via a win at the U.S. Amateur or U.S. Mid-Amateur.
Justifying his decision to revert to amateur status, he said, "I would rather play in the Masters than the PGA Championship."
Aside from managing his amateur golf career and pursuing a spot on the Walker Cup team, Mickelson also serves as the head coach of the University of San Diego golf team.
One of these days, we may see the Mickelson brothers battling at Augusta on a Sunday.
