LPGA Longs Drugs Challenge Notes
Few interesting events happened on the LPGA last week. It started off with home town favorite, Natalie Gulbis pulling out of the tournament because of a staph infection in her finger. She claimed to have experienced tingling in her hands so, lets hope it's not too serious. That left Paula Creamer, Christina Kim, and Dorthy Delasin to represent. Unfortunately, none could over take Webb.
Kelli Kuehne made it through the hilly course with an insuling pump attached to her hip.
Great story and shows that kids really do pay attention.
Grace Park marked her return from another back injury and Greg Johnston was her looper. Veteran Caddy Johnston didn't seem to be out of a job too long after being dismissed as Wie's Caddy.
Speaking of the earlier home court advantage, the SF Chronicle had a nice piece on how Lorena is cheered on at each event and given the inside word on conditions by the course maintenace workers. One wonders if Sergio gets the same treatment?
Congrats again to Karri Webb this week. With all the young guns on Tour, it seems like her and Annika still have somethings to teach.
